The Importance Of Preparation Stage
Have you ever noticed why the world nowadays are putting more focus on SPEED? Not so long ago, computer users were quite satisfied with Pentium 4. However, out of the sudden, Core 2 Duo are being introduced. Why do people tend to be multi-tasking nowadays? Basically, the answer is quite obvious, it’s because competitions are stiff and the cost to bear for being slow is very substantial.
Since speed is so essential, sometimes people tends to do things without putting much consideration or finding out the purposes first. They just do it first because they are afraid of being left out. Think for a moment, are you somehow one of them? I would admit that I am. Sometimes we just do things for the sake of doing things without knowing why or the significance behind it.
Well, in this blog, I just want to share one of the wisdom of all time which is called "The Importance Of Preparation Stage". In this demanding and stressful world, people tend to overlook this basic step. So many people are rushing to climb the ladder of success only to find out that their ladders are actually leaning against the wrong wall. Scary isn’t it?
I know a person that spent 4 years in pursuing Degree of Quantity Surveying only to find out that their main interest is actually in marketing field. Of course we can’t agree totally that the years he used up for that Degree are wasted. But if only he had prepared himself earlier and know what he want to achieve in future, he might have start laying the right foundation earlier and might be achieving great results by now.
By saying so, it doesn’t mean that we should stick to one plan until we leave this world. Life itself is a journey and not a destination. Your life is your self discovery on what’s your real passion is. So, if life is a journey, you must do some preparation right? if you are going for an adventurous trip, you’ll prepare all sorts of stuffs right?
So, now you know it is important to have preparation. But what kind of preparations do we need? I just hope that you can hang on for now and wait for the next blog.
Lastly, just a little inspiration for you. Abraham Lincoln once said this, "If I am given 6 hours to chop down a tree, I would have use 4 hours to sharpen my axe". That’s the Importance of Preparation Stage!

Wow Raymond,
This post is amazing.
I like the way you talked about preparation on almost everything that we do.
True enough, we should spend more time preparing rather than just do it for the sake of doing it.
You’re the man Ray!
What an honor having you to be my guest blogger.
