Character Versus Personality
You’ve often heard of a person with characters but does exactly does it mean to be a person of character?
Character is the set of qualities that make up a person.
So how does it differ from personality?
Although character is related to personality, it is not the same thing. Personality is primarily inborn traits, while character consists of learned behaviour.
Personality traits are individual, subjective and vary widely. So if you are a person who is so quiet, that is one of your inborn traits - personality.
However, character traits are different. They are constant, objective and timeless. So if over the years, you have learned the skill of social networking, it is going to bring you a character of being an outgoing person.
That’s the difference between character and personality.
