Stage Two: Delay Of A Dream

The moment your dream is born, immediately it will go through a delay. This delay could be either short or long. The bigger the dream is, the longer the delay would take.

So what happens during the delay of a dream?

This is the point where you do not get what you want, things do not go according your way, problems that seem to be so big that you cannot handle and whatever you do, you seem to have a long way to go.

When you have a dream, you will always have no money to fulfil it. Do you have a dream car of your own? Why is it called a dream car? It is because you have not owned it yet. If you have, it would not be called a dream car.

Different people experience different kinds of delay at this stage.

Donald Trump, was a billionaire went through an economy crisis. He ended up in debt of 300 million and his wife left him because of that.

Sylvester Stallone went through many rejections during audition. In fact, he never made it for any audition, after many trials because people thought he was too ugly to be on screen.

Stage One: Birth Of A Dream

Do you remember when was the last time you had a dream? I am not talking about the dreams you had when you were sleeping at night. I am referring to the dream that ignites the burning desire in you.

For example, you want to get promoted as a senior manager in 6 months time, you want to earn $20,000 per month in 12 months, become a prime minister of the country when you grow up or become a tennis superstar.

Do you have a dream car? Do you have a dream house you want to buy? Do you wish to marry a wife with Lindsay Lohan’s body figure? There births forth a dream of yours.

It could be anything. I remember when I first read a book on Internet marketing written by a Malay millionaire, my dream birthed forth. I wanted and still want to be an Internet marketer who earns massive and passive income from the Internet.

The first stage is very simple, which is the birth of your dream.

The Journey of A Dream

I believe each and everyone of us has a dream. This week, I am going to bring you through the journey of a dream.

The journey of a dream involves 5 stages and you need to go through each of them.

The Power of Clarity

I went to search for the meaning for the word ‘Clarity’ and this is what I found:-

[+] clearness or lucidity as to perception or understanding; freedom from indistinctness or ambiguity

[+] the state or quality of being clear or transparent to the eye; pellucidity

Of course, for the purpose of this post, the first definition would be more relevant in context and I am going to talk about the power of clarity.

In case you do not know, the Law of Clarity states that the clearer you are about you, the farther you will go in life.

It is amazing when you know exactly what you want in life, the chances of being able to make it become a reality is much higher. In fact, when you are focused enough, you will achieve you goals in life.

Successful people like Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Dale Carnegie, Donald Trump and Adam Khoo know exactly what they wanted before they became what they are today. This is because they designed their own life plans and follow through.

A Mature Person Is Able to Let Go and Move On

There was a Christian teacher who was walking in the jungle with his disciple. The teacher has been teaching the disciple about many things, giving him revelation, doing the right things in life and many other philosophy principles.

As they continued to walk, they saw a river in front of them and they saw a beautiful young lady who seemed to have problem crossing the river, because of her long skirt.

A Mature Person Is Able to Let Go and Move On

The girl was wondering if the teacher and the disciple could be a source of help and the teacher agreed to help. He carried the young lady and he had a very intimate physical touch with each other. This made the young disciple felt very uncomfortable.

Once they have successfully crossed the river, the teacher left the young lady alone and continued on with their journey. As confused as the young man was, ke kept wondering why the teacher would do such thing, getting so intimate with the young beautiful lady in terms of physical touch.

When they reached a place for a short rest, the young disciple cannot take it anymore and asked the teacher.

A Mature Person Is A Peace Maker Not A Trouble Maker

Where do you think wars come from? You have heard enough about wars between countries, people, organizations, families and friends. Have you ever wondered what is the root cause for all the conflicts, wars and misunderstandings?

There are two causes for conflict and war.

A Mature Person Is A Peace Maker Not A Trouble Maker

1. Selfishness
The first cause of conflict is selfishness. When people do not think of others but only themselves, this is where conflict usually happens.

Think about it. Why do two best friends argue and become enemies? It is because of their selfishness. I remember I used to have a very good friend and we shared everything in our hearts. He knew everything about me and I knew everything about him.

One day, he told the other friends about the girl I used to like and I felt so embarassed. He did it because he was making fun out of it for his own pleasure. As a result, we hated each other and stopped talking for a very long time.

A Mature Person Is Positive Under Pressure

I was talking to my friend the other about being a real us, integrity and walking our talk. He told me that one of the ways to see who we really are is when how we react when we are under pressure.

A Mature Person Is Positive Under Pressure

I remember when I was working for a kitchen cabinet company handling a difficult customer. She was upset because the kitchen cabinet she ordered was delayed and she kept complaining through the phone and I was the person talking to her.

Then the real challenge came. She told me if we do not send the cabinet to her house on the same day, she would not pay us a penny and eventually we will lose our business.

On the other hand, my boss was giving me pressure to collect the outstanding payment from her yet goods were not delivered. I was stuck in the middle and as new as I was, I did not know how to control my emotion. As a result, I burst into anger and every colleague got shocked.

That was the real me.

The Definition of Maturity

You have heard the word and you probably know the importance of maturity in a person’s life. However, what does it really mean to be mature?

I think different people will come out with different answers to that question. This is what I found from Dictionary.com:-

- The state of being mature
- Full development
- Perfected condition

definition-of-maturity

I think maturity comes in many forms. The way a person handles stress, manages his time and money, reacts to criticism, takes responsibility, taking risks and the choice he makes to keep improving himself can all be found in a person’s maturity.

What Maturity Is Not
Not only that you need to know what maturity is not and it include the following:-

1. Maturity is not age
Growing old in age does not necessary mean a person is growing in maturity. It is not uncommon today to see a younger person who can react better to difficult situations than a person who is much older than him.

5 Potentials Dream Busters

When you have dreams and tell it to everybody around you, there will be people who discourage you along the way telling you that your dreams are too unrealistic, big and even ask you to stop dreaming.

I called this the dream busters. Who are actually the dream busters? There are 5 potential dream busters and let’s take a look at each one of them.

types-of-dream-busters

1. Family
Believe it or not, they are the closest people in your life and at the same time, they could be your dream busters too. It is not that they do it purposely but they just do not believe big dreams can be made possible.

It could be your dad, mum, sister or brother. When you tell them about your dreams, they will say that it is too unrealistic. I like the way Will Smith told his son in the movie “The Pursuit of Happyness”. Will Smith told his son in the movie that, “Do not let anybody tell you that you cannot do something, including me!”.

Wow!

2. Friends
I believe friends are as influential as your family members. Who you hang out with today will determine your future in the next 5 or 10 years. If you hang out with a bunch of sleazy and lazy people, you will eventually become like them in the future.

2. Those With Low Dreams
